Chabad of Lake Havasu City is directed by Rabbi Mendel and Itta Super and established in 2022.

Chabad has been visiting Lake Havasu since 1978, and we are privileged to establish our first full-time center in the area.

Through our efforts, we have revitalized the Jewish community and saved Havasu's historic synagogue from closure, transforming it into a vibrant hub of Jewish life for Mohave County.

Rabbi Mendel and Itta Super moved to Lake Havasu City from Brooklyn, NY, in 2022 to serve the Jewish community. They are the proud parents of three little girls.

Ordained at the Rabbinical College of America, Rabbi Super studied in Melbourne, Australia (his hometown), Israel, New Jersey, Florida and New York, and completed his internship serving far-flung and remote Jewish communities as diverse as the Congo in central Africa to the plains of Saskatchewan, Canada, and the Australian outback.

Rabbi Mendel enjoys meeting fellow Jews over a cup of coffee at Starbucks or at Shabbat dinner at his home.

Itta hails from Westford, Massachusetts, and is the backbone of the community, planning and executing every event and connecting with Havasu's Jewish women one-on-one or at the popular Jewish Women's Circle she leads.

We provide an authentic Jewish experience to the hundreds of Jews who call Lake Havasu home and to the many who visit here throughout the year. Whether at a Shabbat dinner at our home, a synagogue service, Torah class or children’s program, you will find a vibrant community with whom to celebrate your heritage.

We serve Lake Havasu City and travel regularly throughout the region serving those without a local Jewish community, including Kingman, Bullhead City, Parker, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Topock, Valle Vista, Golden Valley and beyond.

All Jews, regardless of affiliation, are welcome at Chabad, and membership is your birthright. We charge no dues, and provide a non-judgmental space for all Jews to explore their faith and traditions.

Our home is your home.

Chabad receives no funding from regional or national headquarters and relies solely on the support of people like yourself—locals and visitors who share our vision and make Chabad a reality.

We are a branch of Chabad of Arizona, the Chabad-Lubavitch movement's regional headquarters, and are honored to build on their decades of work.
